Job summary

CoxHealth is hiring for a patient care role at Cox North in Springfield, MO. This on-site position supports the Emergency Dept North with day shifts and a 24-hour weekly schedule distributed across mornings and evenings.

Provide basic patient care under nursing direction, gather patient information, and promptly report condition changes. Requires a high school diploma; EMT/PCA/Nurse Assistant experience is preferred and BLS must be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: experience as EMT, PCA, Nurse Assistant, or completion of fundamentals of nursing for nursing students.
• BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and reports any changes in patient condition.

Education

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Preferred: Previous experience as EMT, PCA, Nurse Assistant, or completion of ‘fundamentals of nursing’ for nursing students
