Job summary

CoxHealth South is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff in the Emergency Department South. The role involves obtaining patient information and reporting changes in condition, with a focus on safety and efficiency during night shifts.

Required: High School diploma or equivalent; Preferred: EMT, PCA, or Nursing Assistant experience. Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking abilities are essential to succeed

Job Description:

Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and reports any changes in patient condition.

Education:
Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Preferred: Previous experience as EMT, PCA, Nurse Assistant, or completion of ‘fundamentals of nursing’ for nursing students
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exhibits valuable time management skills
Strong analytical/problem solving skills
Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
Prefered: Must obtain department specific certifications within the designated time frame
