Job summary

CoxHealth in Springfield, MO seeks a dedicated Paramedic to act as chief investigator of care in both emergency and non-emergency settings. You will deliver rapid, life-saving interventions, document care, and safely transport patients to hospital facilities.

Required: Missouri EMT-P license, Class E or CDL, and BLS; ACLS/PALS due within 1 year. Competitive sign-on with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Missouri EMT-Paramedic license (EMT-P) required.
• Class E license or CDL for ambulance operation.
• BLS due within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS due within 1 year of hire.
• Emergency medical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary director of care in emergency and non-emergency situations, providing immediate care.
• Examine, evaluate and administer quick, proper medical treatment including CPR, AED and ventilation.
• Control hemorrhaging and perform invasive techniques to stabilize patients.
• Document all aspects of care under EMS direction and transport patients safely to facilities.

Responsible for examining, evaluating and providing quick diagnoses in order to administer immediate and proper medical care.
