Job summary

Cox North Emergency Department in Springfield, MO, is seeking a patient care assistant to support nursing staff. You will obtain patient information, assist with basic care, and report changes in condition.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; preferred EMT, PCA, or Nurse Assistant training. BLS must be obtained within 90 days. Day shift with a 24-hour weekly schedule (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: EMT, PCA, Nurse Assistant, or completion of fundamentals of nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
• Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff, and report any changes in patient condition.
