Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration is seeking a Mitigation Technician in Portland, ME to respond to emergencies around the clock. You will stabilize properties affected by fire, water, mold, and storms, perform extraction and drying, and protect belongings with care.

This field-based, full-time position offers starting pay around $20 per hour, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus and benefits including health coverage, 401(k) match, PTO, and a company vehicle. Training is provided to grow with Fortify Companies.

Qualifications

• IICRC certification or willingness to obtain.
• Proficiency with standard hand and power tools used in restoration.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls for fire, water, mold, or storm damage.
• Perform water extraction and structural drying per industry standards.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely and efficiently.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected spaces.
• Document progress with photos and notes using company software.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site and tools.
