Job summary

Alford Enterprises, Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Mitigation Technician to perform mitigation and restoration services for water, fire, mold, or storm damage at residential and commercial properties.

You will respond to emergencies, assess damage, set up equipment, perform controlled demolition, and monitor drying progress following industry standards and company procedures. Travel within the territory and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, crawlspaces, attics, and hazardous conditions.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to operate hand tools and restoration equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor and customer service skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Wear uniform per handbook.
• Vehicle maintenance & cleanliness.
• Able to discuss proprietary programs like Master Moments, a customer service initiative focused on customer communications.
• Be prepared daily for scheduled jobs.
• Check & complete job tasks daily when work is completed.
• Ability to work after hours and weekends on-call.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency water losses and perform mitigation services.
• Conduct inspections and assess water damage using moisture detection.
• Extract standing water and remove damaged materials.
• Perform controlled demolition (drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinetry, etc.).
• Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, and air scrubbers.
