Job summary

Alford Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Mitigation Technician to perform emergency mitigation and restoration services for residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, or storm damage.

Responsibilities include field assessments, equipment setup, demolition, and adhering to IICRC standards while ensuring safety and customer communication. The role requires lifting heavy materials, operating restoration tools, and participating in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Ability to operate hand tools and restoration equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency water losses and perform mitigation services.
• Conduct inspections and assess water damage using moisture detection equipment.
• Extract standing water and remove damaged materials.
• Perform controlled demolition (drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinetry, etc.).
• Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, and air scrubbers.
• Apply antimicrobial and cleaning treatments as required.
• Ensure job sites are safe, clean, and properly contained.
• Communicate with customers regarding the restoration process.
• Load and maintain equipment and vehicles.
• Follow company procedures and IICRC standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response.
