Job summary

Thompson Restoration Associates in Columbus, OH seeks a Mitigation Manager to lead emergency mitigation, board-up, and contents restoration projects. You will report to the VP of Operations and drive operational excellence while building a high-performing field team.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, budgeting, mentoring staff, coordinating with insurance adjusters, and ensuring strict adherence to IICRC and OSHA safety standards in hazardous environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction management, emergency mitigation, and structural drying practices.
• Deep knowledge of safety practices for hazardous environments (lead, asbestos, mold, sewage, soot).
• Strong leadership with experience coaching teams and driving accountability.
• Familiarity with insurance claim procedures and building inspection processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee emergency mitigation projects from planning through final sign-off.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate direct reports to build a high-performing team.
• Manage project financials, profitability, and resource allocations to stay on budget and on schedule.
• Coordinate with insurance adjusters to complete accurate estimates, sales, and timely billings.
• Enforce IICRC/ OSHA safety standards for hazardous environments; ensure proper field documentation.
