Job summary

York Hospital is seeking a board-certified/eligible Emergency Medicine physician to join its Department of Emergency Medicine in York, PA. This per diem role offers day shifts with 0.001 FTE and the autonomy of choosing shifts within a tertiary center.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a large team, participate in academic activities, and benefit from a well-developed ultrasound and EMS system.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Must be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure.
• Completion of Emergency Medicine residency and credentialing for core procedures.
• Emergency Medical Commander certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medicine care in a Level 1 trauma center setting.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs and residents to optimize patient flow.
• Participate in academic activities, research, and ultrasound program.
• Contribute to EMS integration and 24/7 imaging support as needed.
• Maintain high-quality patient care while managing time effectively in per diem capacity.

Minimum Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

• Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
• Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:
