Job summary

GuideWell Emergency Doctors is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to deliver high‑quality emergency care across multiple Florida facilities. You will perform H&P, exams, and procedures in a fast-paced environment, interpreting tests and developing treatment plans for all ages.

Key requirements include a Master’s degree, 5+ years clinical experience, active Florida license, DEA, and PALS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Masters as required.
• Experience: Five or more years in a clinical area.
• Master’s Nurse Practitioner or Master’s Physician Assistant strongly preferred (bachelor’s required).
• Doctorate Nurse Practitioner is acceptable.
• Must have a clear and active license for the state of practice.
• Must hold an active DEA license.
• Active PALS and ACLS certification required.
• Must be credentialed at each facility where shifts are performed.
• Must pass a Level 2 background screen and drug test.
• Able to work in a busy medical environment and stand for 12-hour shifts.
• Bilingual preferred; travel within 50-mile radius for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work independently within a fast-paced environment.
• Perform H&P and physical exams.
• Make quality medical decisions and write prescriptions.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and generate treatment plans.
• Perform minor procedures (I&D, sutures, pelvic exams).
• Arrange appropriate follow-up within our facility or with a specialist.
• Review external lab and imaging results and plan care accordingly.
• Provide care for patients of ALL ages with mild to moderate complaints.
• Maintain door-to-provider time under 30 minutes.
• Support facility metrics like Door to Antibiotic Time and Door to EKG.
• Travel between local facilities to cover shifts (50-mile radius).
