Position Details

• Location: 30 Jefferson Ave. Saint James, NY 11780
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Pay Rate: $26 per hour (standard range $21 - $23 without incentives)
• Schedule:
• Shifts: 10 or 12 hours
• Hours: 36 - 40 per week
• Weekend Requirement: Availability on Fridays and either Saturday or Sunday

Responsibilities

• Ensure top-tier patient care collaboratively with team members and management.
• Maintain up-to-date certifications, licenses, and standards of care.
• Operate in a courteous, professional manner with patients and colleagues.
• Recognize and treat medical conditions according to protocols.
• Transport patients safely, providing necessary medical care.
• Drive ambulances adhering to safety laws and regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and vehicle.
• Handle patient billing information and documentation.
• Respond promptly to dispatch instructions.
• Perform additional duties as required to qualify and stay in the Pilot Program.

Qualifications

• Valid NY State EMT certification
• Valid NYS Driver’s license (minimum 2 years) with a clean record
• Valid BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs. or more
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
• Availability to work Fridays and one weekend day
• Meet Pilot Program requirements
