Responsibilities

The Emergency Medical Technician provides basic life support with compassion and dignity, while transporting patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings. Acts as part of the healthcare team according to hospital policies, caring for patients from neonatal to geriatric ages.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification
• Certification from Pennsylvania or New York Department of Health, or NREMT (must obtain NJ certification within 12 months)
• Current Healthcare Provider – BLS CPR card
• Obtain PHTLS, ITLS, or TCCC certification within 90 days of hire
• Valid Driver’s License
• CEVO certification (must obtain within 3 months of hire and renew every 3 years)
• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• Previous EMT experience preferred
• Good driving record
