Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Nurse Aide for the Emergency Department in Milwaukee, WI. You will assist with patient mobility, daily living activities, and documentation, while maintaining a clean patient environment.

Strong observation and reporting to nursing staff are essential as you support ED operations during night shifts. Required Wisconsin Nurse Aide credential and BLS within 30 days; a high school diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of relevant experience) is expected.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date, via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Nurse Aide credential in Wisconsin before hire date; registry eligible for hospital work.
• High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year of applicable experience.
• Location-specific certifications may be required by job location.

• Assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff; documents records.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the state of Wisconsin obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Additional certs may be required by specific job locations.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
