Ascension is hiring a Nurse Aide for the Surgical Stepdown unit at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital in Brookfield, WI. You will assist patients with daily living activities, report changes to nursing staff, and document records.

Responsibilities include keeping rooms clean and maintaining equipment, supporting a safe and respectful care environment. The position requires BLS within 30 days of hire and Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry credentials, plus a high school equivalency or related experience.

Formación

• BLS credential within 30 days of hire, accepted by AHA or ARC.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry prior to hire date.
• Education: high school equivalency or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Additional certs may be required by specific job locations.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Additional certs may be required by specific job locations.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
