Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent in Greenfield, Indiana is seeking qualified personnel for an Ambulance Ground PRN position. You will provide on-scene and transport care, determine situations, and implement action plans with appropriate medical equipment.

The role supports patient stabilization and safe transport under nursing supervision. Required licensure and certifications include BLS within 1 month, valid Indiana driver’s license, EMT credential, with ALS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider credential required within 1 month of hire.
• Driver's license obtained prior to hire date.
• Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from Indiana Homeland Security before hire date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, treatment, care and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.
• Arrive to the scene of an emergency, determine the situation, and develop a plan of action.
• Use appropriate medical equipment and comprehend the severity of the injury.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate findings to Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assist with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience preferred.
