Job summary

Teller County is seeking an Emergency Management Coordinator to provide administrative and program support for Emergency Management activities, including records management, planning, grants, and EOC assistance.

The role requires strong organizational skills, ability to handle sensitive information, and capability to work in high-pressure emergency situations. Located in Cripple Creek, CO with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; associate degree preferred.
• Two years of progressive administrative/coordination experience required.
• Experience in emergency management or local government preferred.
• Substitution of education/training for experience allowed.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and program support for Emergency Management activities.
• Maintain records, files, contact lists, databases and other documentation; update as needed.
• Support preparedness plans, IGAs, MOUs, and related documents; track reviews and renewals.
• Provide grant-related administrative support: tracking deadlines, expenditures, invoices, and reporting.
• Maintain access to Hazardous Materials files for LEPC per requirements.
• Assist with distribution of emergency preparedness materials and outreach.
• Support training and exercises per HSEEP, including preparation and documentation.
• Assist in EOC during activations with documentation, communications, and coordination.
• Coordinate resource mobilization and logistics during EOC activations and emergencies.
• Assist with incident and recovery documentation for damage assessment and reporting.
