Job summary

Teller County is seeking an Emergency Management Coordinator to provide administrative and program support to the Emergency Manager to support the County’s emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts. The role involves maintaining records, coordinating grants and training, supporting EOC activities, and ensuring compliance with NIMS/ICS.

Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure are essential, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional after-hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in business administration, emergency management, public administration, or related field preferred.
• Two years of progressively responsible administrative, program coordination, records management, or related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative and program support for Emergency Management activities.
• Maintains Emergency Management records, files, contact lists, databases, and other program documentation; coordinates routine updates and ensures information is current and readily accessible.
• Provides administrative support for Emergency Management preparedness plans, annexes, procedures, IGAs, MOUs, and related documents, including tracking review deadlines.
