Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an Emergency Management Analyst with expertise in land mobile radio (LMR) and mass communications to oversee and maintain critical communications for daily and emergency operations at multiple locations, including Chantilly, VA.

The role involves configuring radios, developing codeplugs, ensuring interoperability, and leading enterprise-wide notification and training efforts in alignment with agency directives.

Qualifications

• Experience with encrypted trunked/conventional LMR systems used to support emergency and continuity operations.
• Familiarity with RF theory/propagation and antenna systems.
• Knowledge of National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HQ Radio Systems Management: encrypted LMR network, BDAs, radio cache, inventory, and radios.
• Provide technical LMR support to non HQ sites and coordinate with host system owners.
• Ensure interoperability with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Lead mass notification system monitoring, SOPs, and training materials.
• Support emergency management tasks and development of response plans per DoD directives.
