Job summary

Mission Hospital, part of Mission Health in Asheville, NC, is seeking a PRN Dispatch Operator to manage communications across the hospital via switchboard, pagers, PA and internal radio systems. You will route calls, monitor alarms, and generate work orders for maintenance and access requests.

Responsibilities include monitoring CCTV and medical gas alarms, and coordinating with Maintenance, Shuttle, Courier, Valet and Material Management services to ensure rapid response and adherence to

Qualifications

• One year experience on Microsoft Windows and completion of Windows Competency testing.
• High School Diploma
• AAPCO Certification Certification in Verbal Defense and Influence (VDI).

Responsibilities

• Respond to and route incoming calls via telephone switchboard, pagers, public address, and internal radio communications.
• Monitor CCTV and alarms for Mission Hospital and off-site facilities; manage work orders for maintenance and access requests.
• Provide rapid, courteous communication and enforce emergency procedures when codes are triggered.
• Coordinate with departments such as Maintenance, Shuttle, Courier, Valet and Material Management.
