Job summary

AVLF, through Standing With Our Neighbors (SWON) in Atlanta, seeks a Financial Assistance Coordinator to support emergency financial assistance and program operations.

The role focuses on reviewing requests, coordinating payments, maintaining records, and collaborating with partners to advance AVLF's housing-stability initiatives. This is a full-time, hybrid position reporting to the SWON director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in financial assistance, grant support, or non-profit operations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable with technology and data systems.
• Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration of SWON emergency financial assistance programs.
• Review and approve requests according to guidelines.
• Verify documentation and coordinate with staff to gather missing information.
• Maintain accurate records of requests, approvals, payments, and client services.
• Support grant compliance, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Monitor program outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
