Job summary

State of Tennessee is seeking THP Dispatcher - Experienced to coordinate and direct communication between field personnel and agencies across Tennessee. You will monitor and dispatch emergency responders, manage communications, and provide timely information during incidents.

Responsibilities include tracking units, relaying critical data, and ensuring public safety while supporting staff. This full-time role requires 3+ years of dispatch experience but not mandatory, and offers 24/7/365

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school.
• Preferred experience is at least 3 years of first responder dispatch experience, but not required to qualify.

Responsibilities

• Monitors location and status of field personnel via radio and dispatches support as needed.
• Operates statewide emergency teletype and radio systems and notifies agencies of emergencies.
• Monitors alerts and dispatches appropriate personnel during incidents.
• Monitors CAD for unit status and coordinates backup when needed.
• Receives and transmits information to agencies and personnel regarding incidents and public safety.
• Provides information and directions to the public in a professional manner.
• Completes required reports and documents within established time frames.
