Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent; typing 35 wpm.
• Must pass psychological tests, a Structured Interview Board, reading and dispatch tests; strong written/interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual abilities strongly preferred; geographical knowledge of Memphis preferred.
• Must pass a criminal justice background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAD and dispatcher systems to determine response order.
• Collect and record caller information, including location and circumstances.
• Provide information to officers and the public; monitor unit status and safety.
• Coordinate wrecker and ambulance services as needed.
