Job summary

Cochise County in Sierra Vista, AZ is seeking a Public Safety Dispatcher Trainee to answer 911 and non-emergency calls, determine urgency, and dispatch police, fire, and medical units. The role requires a rotating 24/7 schedule and includes training with a path to higher pay as a Dispatch I.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass extensive background screening.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Answers emergency 911 and non-emergency calls and determines urgency.
• Dispatches appropriate personnel and equipment.
• Maintains logs and reports related to calls and responses.
• Operates two-way radio, monitors alarms, and supports public safety operations.
