Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in a police or emergency dispatch center.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process state, federal, and tribal emergency and non-emergency service calls; interview callers and gather details to determine needed resources; identify and dispatch appropriate law enforcement and relay critical information using dispatch equipment.
• Process and type complete and accurate caller information and disseminate it in both typewritten and verbal form.
• Monitor and maintain up-to-the-moment status of all emergency personnel.
• Receive and process field requests from officers to run driver’s licenses, registrations, warrant checks, and criminal histories.
• Run queries for wanted persons, vehicles, and property.
• Maintain records and files.
• Enter warrants in internal and external systems; and,
• Perform related work as assigned.
