Ector County ISD District Police Department in Odessa, TX is hiring a Tele-Communicator 1 (Non-Exempt) to support emergency and non-emergency incident dispatch for the school district. Reports to the Chief of Police; starting date is Immediate.

Wage ranges from $189.20 to $263.92 per day. The role requires a TCOLE Tele-communicator license, TLETS-related certifications, and completion of mandatory TCOLE courses within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• TCOLE Tele-communicator license required for the position.
• Certification/training in TLETS authorities must be completed within six months of hire.
• Must complete and maintain required TCOLE certifications and pass background, medical, and psychological evaluations.

Responsabilités

• Receive and record emergency and routine calls.
• Process and prioritize calls for police, fire, and EMS.
• Answer all incoming lines including 9-1-1 for schools.
• Provide Emergency Medical Dispatch protocols when required.
• Operate Computer Aided Dispatch system.
• Know district emergency plans for crises.
