Job summary

The Salvation Army in Philadelphia is seeking an Emergency Disaster Services Logistics Coordinator to support day-to-day operations, training initiatives, and asset management for the divisional EDS program. The role includes overseeing vehicles, canteens, inventory, and vendor relations, while serving as a liaison to partner agencies and directing on-call response in the Greater Philadelphia area.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; bachelor’s degree or 5 years emergency management preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to drive large vehicles and tow trailers.
• Training in Emergency Management (FEMA, SA or other) required/identified by EDS Director.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and ensure operational readiness of fleet, trailers, generators, and warehouse inventory.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and inspections of fleet and equipment; ensure compliance documentation.
• Serve as liaison with local, state, federal, and NGO partners for logistics and response.
• Supervise volunteers during field operations and assist with recruiting and onboarding.
