Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Northside is seeking an Emergency Department Tech to assist the clinical team under RN/LPN supervision. You will support patient care across age groups and help maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced ED.

Candidates may be current nursing students or certified EMTs meeting Georgia/NREMT requirements; BLS CPR is required upon hire. Training provided to align with unit procedures.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the education/licensure pathways listed.
• BLS - Basic Life Support current CPR required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in clinical aspects of patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Provide care to age-specific populations as assigned by the care team.

Education

Georgia EMT certification or NREMT registry / Intermediate level certification

Nursing student with 1 semester clinical rotations in acute care hospital

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current BLS CPR Card Upon Hire Required
