Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Northside is seeking an ED Tech to support patient care under RN/LPN supervision in the fast-paced emergency department. You will assist with basic clinical tasks and adapt care to age-specific populations.

Preferred candidates have EMT certification or nursing program status, BLS, and experience in acute care settings. Day-to-day duties include collaboration with the health care team and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry EMT/Intermediate Level certification is required.
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with at least 1 semester of clinical rotations is required.
• In lieu of EMT license, 2 years of patient care tech/ER tech experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the clinical aspects of patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Provide care to the age-specific populations assigned.
• Collaborate with the health care team to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Education

Georgia EMT Certification / National Registry EMT-Intermediate

Nursing student with 1+ clinical semesters
