Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Northside is seeking an ED Tech to support patient care under RN/LPN supervision in the fast-paced emergency department. You will assist with basic clinical tasks and adapt care to age-specific populations.

Preferred candidates have EMT certification or nursing program status, BLS, and experience in acute care settings. Day-to-day duties include collaboration with the health care team and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry EMT/Intermediate Level certification is required.
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with at least 1 semester of clinical rotations is required.
• In lieu of EMT license, 2 years of patient care tech/ER tech experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current BLS CPR Card Upon Hire Required
