Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking an ED Tech to support clinical care under RN/LPN supervision, assisting with age-appropriate patient needs. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety protocols, and contributing to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ED setting.

Applicants should hold GA EMT or NREMT/Intermed certification, be enrolled in a nursing program with acute-care rotations, or have 2 years of patient care tech/ER tech experience as an EMT substitute, plus current BLS/CPR

Qualifications

• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or NREMT/Intermed Level certification required
• Nursing program student with at least 1 semester of clinical rotations in an acute care hospital required
• In lieu of 2 years of patient care tech/ER tech experience in lieu of EMT license required
• BLS/CPR certification current upon hire required

Responsibilities

• Assists in clinical patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
• Provides care to patients according to age-specific needs as assigned

Responsibilities:

The ED Tech participates in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the health care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Possess the knowledge and ability to provide care to the age specific population to which assigned.

Qualifications:

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current BLS CPR Card Upon Hire Required
