Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an ED Tech to participate in the clinical aspects of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The position requires the ability to provide care to the age-specific population assigned and to support the health care team effectively.

Qualifications include Georgia EMT certification or NREMT/Intermediate level, or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with clinical rotations.

Competenze

• Georgia EMT certification or NREMT/Intermediate level required.
• Nursing student with at least 1 semester of clinical rotations in an acute care hospital required.
• In lieu of EMT license, 2 years of patient care tech/ER tech experience accepted.

Mansioni

• Assist in clinical patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Provide care to the age-specific patient population assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current BLS CPR Card Upon Hire Required
