Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Tech for night shifts to support skilled nursing staff in urgent care delivery. The role involves assisting with patient care, monitoring, and basic responsibilities under supervision while you pursue EMT credentials or are a nursing student with clinical rotations.

The position requires current EMT or NREMT/Intermediate certification, or active enrollment in a nursing program with hospital clinical rotation experience; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry EMT/Intermediate Level certification or previous EMT certification required.
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations in an acute care hospital required.
• In lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license required.

Responsibilities

• The ED Tech participates in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the health care team under the supervision of a RN or LPN; provides care to the age-specific population assigned.

The ED Tech participates in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the health care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Possess the knowledge and ability to provide care to the age specific population to which assigned.

Qualifications:

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
