Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Georgia seeks an Emergency Department Technician to support patient care under the supervision of a registered or licensed practical nurse. The role requires compassionate, reliable teamwork and the ability to handle age-specific needs across acute care settings.

Candidates must hold a current Georgia EMT certification or National Registry EMT/Intermediate, or be enrolled in an accredited nursing program with clinical rotations.

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification is required.
• Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with at least one semester of clinical rotations in an acute care hospital is required.
• BLS/CPR certification must be current at hire.
• Prior ER tech or patient care tech experience is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Assist with patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
• Provide care for patients across the age spectrum as assigned.
• Collaborate with health care team to support efficient unit operations.

Responsibilities

The ED Tech participates in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the health care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Possess the knowledge and ability to provide care to the age specific population to which assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Current BLS CPR Card Upon Hire Required
