Qualifications

• Georgia EMT certification or NREMT intermediate certification required or equivalent.
• Nursing student enrolled in an accredited program with ≥1 acute care clinical rotation required.
• Two years of patient care tech or ER tech experience in lieu of EMT license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• The ED Tech participates in the clinical aspects of patient care under RN or LPN supervision.
• Provide care to the age-specific population to which assigned.

NREMT Registry/Intermediate Level Certification

Nursing student with 1+ clinical rotation in an acute care hospital

2 years patient care tech / ER tech experience in lieu of EMT license

BLS - Basic Life Support / CPR certification
