Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for on-site work at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. This full-time role operates on the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with responsibilities supporting physicians and nurses in emergency care.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and clinical experience; EMT-B or related certification is required or current clinical student status. Includes a competitive compensation package and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients.
• Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse.
• De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents.
