Job summary

Sentara Healthcare Inc is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Emergency Department Technician at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Virginia. This on-site part-time position includes working 24 hours per week on the 3rd shift (7:00PM - 7:00AM).

The technician will assist medical staff in providing care to emergency patients, performing various procedures under supervision. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and relevant clinical experience.

Training and certifications, including BLS, are required within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Assist Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing care plans for emergency patients.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with urgent and minor emergency care procedures.
• Participate in physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
• Support clinical staff in a high-pressure environment.
