Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking an on-site Emergency Department Technician in Norfolk, VA. The role supports physicians and nurses in the ED, performing procedures under supervision and participating in care plans for patients with emergency or minor emergencies.

The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with the Evening shift (3:00 PM - 3:00 AM) at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Emergency Department. Candidates must have a high school diploma and EMT-B or equivalent training, plus clinical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT-B certification or military hospital corps school or current clinical program participation acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, NPs, or nurses with plans of care for ED patients.
• Perform procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Complete de-escalation training within 15 days of hire and obtain BLS within 90 days.
