Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join the on-site team on the Night shift (11:00 PM–11:00 AM). This full-time position supports physicians and nurses in delivering emergency and minor care.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and EMT-B certification (or Military Hospital Corps School, or active clinical student status). Previous clinical experience is expected. BLS within 90 days of hire and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• EMT-B certification with state or national certification at time of hire OR Military Hospital Corps School completed OR current student enrolled in a clinical program.
• Previous clinical experience is preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physicians, Advance Practitioners, or Nurses in implementing plans of care for emergency and minor emergency patients.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Participate in de-escalation and safety training within the first 15 days of hire.
