Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of NCA I training or NC EMT training.
• Current listing as NCA I or EMT with no substantiated findings.
• BLS required.
• Related experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic life support interventions (airway, breathing, circulation)
• Assist with stabilization, transport, and patient movement
• Support communication between patients, families, and ED staff
• Perform EKGs, vital signs, specimen labeling, and hourly rounding
• Assist with patient care needs and comfort measures
