Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at Pocono Creek. This full-time day shift position supports a float pool across LVHN sites, with three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend and holiday, and travel between LVHN sites as needed.

Ideal candidates are graduates of accredited nursing programs, PA-licensed RNs, with BLS certification and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current RN license in Pennsylvania (or eligibility) and appropriate nursing credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborates with physicians and inter-disciplinary team to ensure safe, quality patient care.
• Coordinates patient and family education throughout treatment and transition of care.
• Demonstrates leadership in patient care and unit teamwork during shifts.
