Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
• Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty.
• Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills.
• RN license in Pennsylvania upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team to address patient needs.
• Synthesizes information to guide decisions and optimize patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates commitment to quality and safety per policies and evidence-based practice.
• Coordinates patient and family education throughout treatment.
• Functions as a department team member to support unit and hospital goals.
• Mentors new colleagues and provides precepting as assigned.
