Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Pocono Creek. This part-time evening position offers the opportunity to provide expert nursing care, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and support safe patient transitions in a high-acuity setting.

The role requires a nursing degree, current PA BLS, and flexibility to work evenings with a focus on quality, safety, and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
• Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
• Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty.
• Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania.
• Bachelor’s Degree Nursing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to address patient needs.
• Coordinate patient and family education throughout treatment.
• Participate in performance improvement and ensure quality and safety.
• Demonstrate leadership, mentoring, and teamwork within the unit.
