Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Pocono Creek. This full-time day shift role involves providing professional nursing care, prioritizing patient needs, and collaborating with the care team to ensure safe and effective treatment.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing program, active PA RN license, and basic computer skills. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with orientation and competency requirements to be met on hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
• Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
• Successful completion of orientation programs related to specialty.
• RN license in Pennsylvania upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with physicians and inter-disciplinary team to meet patient needs.
• Coordinate patient and family education throughout treatment and transition of care.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain unit competencies.
