UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician III to join the Emergency/Step-Down environment for a 11:00p-7:30a night shift. The role emphasizes patient observation, vital signs, and collaboration with RNs in high-acuity settings. A possible signing bonus may be offered based on interview eligibility.

The incumbent will provide essential support across ED/ICU areas, including telemetry and unit secretary duties, while abiding by safety policies and hospital standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• 1 year of acute care/hospital experience or EMT/Paramedic experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English; medical terminology familiarity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; patient-focused service.
• Computer skills and ability to use EMR systems.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clear, timely communication to the RN about patient observations.
• Maintain safety, assist with daily living activities, and support mobility.
• Take and record vital signs; perform EKGs and POC tests as assigned.
• Assist with treatments and procedures; prepare equipment and supplies.
• Support unit secretary duties and manage supplies and documentation.
