Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department. The role oversees day-to-day ED operations, supervises staff, and coordinates care with physicians and hospital teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

The position requires an RN license, BSN, and 2+ years of supervisory experience, with certifications (BLS, PALS, ACLS) mandated on hire. CEN preferred and NRP within 30 days is required by facilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license.
• BLS required and current.
• Minimum two years supervisory/management experience.
• CEN preferred.
• PALS and ACLS required on hire and maintained.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience in acute care.
• BSN required for hires after 11 Jan 2021.
• NRP certificate within 30 days upon hire (facility may require).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department.
• Supervise and monitor ED staff performance.
• Coordinate with physicians, hospital staff, outside agencies, patients and families to deliver comprehensive care.
