Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring an RN Unit Coordinator/Charge for the Emergency Department. The role provides clinical leadership, supports safety and quality initiatives, and helps streamline workflow while developing staff.

Hours are 11:00 PM–11:00 AM for weekend nights, 36 hours per week. Requires RN licensure in Virginia or a multi-state compact, with ACLS/PALS or ENPC within a year and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN license in good standing.
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one year of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 18 months nursing experience required; BSN required; Master degree preferred if the graduate degree is not in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care.
• Under direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on workflow, and contributes to staff development.
• Increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent customer service.
