Job summary

LeadingAge Virginia is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Central Virginia VA Health Care System ED team. The RN will demonstrate leadership, clinical expertise, and creative approaches to managing complex patient care in a high-acuity environment.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN with at least 2 years of ED experience and ACLS certification. The role requires full-time, on-site work with a night/evening schedule and a commitment to patient-centered care within the VA

Qualifications

• BSN required and active nursing license in the United States.
• 2+ years of Emergency Department experience.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Licensure in good standing from a U.S. state or territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent and emergent care for acute and chronic conditions.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medications per policies and guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.
• Mentor and support junior staff as needed.
