Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator/Charge for the Emergency Department. The role provides clinical leadership, guides safety initiatives, and optimizes workflow in a busy ED environment.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license in good standing (Virginia or Compact), a BSN (MSN preferred if the graduate field isn’t nursing), and have 18 months of nursing experience with BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing (Virginia or Compact)
• BSN required; Master’s degree preferred (if not in nursing, BSN required)
• ACLS and PALS or ENPC within one year of hire
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• 18 months nursing experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for ED nursing care and departmental workflow
• Lead safety and quality initiatives and frontline staff development
• Improve staff satisfaction and patient experience with Gold Standard customer service

Education
