Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 14-week temporary Emergency Department position. Shifts are 12 hours, nights, every other weekend. The RN must be eligible to practice in Virginia and have recent ED bedside experience.

Compensation is $80 per hour; benefits are not included for this temporary assignment. Minimum education includes an Associate’s Degree in Nursing with preferred Bachelor’s or Diploma in Nursing, and ACLS/BLS

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) eligible to practice in VA.
• 2+ years of recent bedside acute care in Emergency Department.
• ACLS/BLS certification; EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process (assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Coordinate care with the ED team and promote patient education.
• Ensure patient safety and quality outcomes during shifts.
