Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator/Charge for the Emergency Department in Woodbridge, VA. This full-time night shift (11:00 PM–11:00 AM) includes weekend coverage (Fri–Sun) and a 36-hour work week.

The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates nursing leadership, oversees safety and quality initiatives, and supports staff development to improve workflow and patient care in a high-acuity ED.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or Compact state in good standing.
• BSN required; MSN preferred; if graduate degree not in nursing, BSN required.
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one year of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and quality initiatives in the ED and streamline workflow.
• Provide clinical leadership for nursing care and staff development.
